Dear Michele,
I wanted to thank you and Janet for your patience with me on my May appointment. I was so nervous and didn't know what to expect. You two were fantastic in making such a situation as relaxing as it could be.I can trust you in acknowledging this fear and work through it all.
Thanks again,
Julie

Dear Michele,
I can't tell you how much I appreciate the help you all have given me, to help keep my smile in shape. It's always nice to know that someone is there who really cares!
Sincerely,
Judy

New Patients

Adults:

As a new patient in our office your first appointment will be approximately 90 minutes. This appointment is a record taking appointment that is necessary for us to get to know you, your oral health and to determine your health and treatment needs. More importantly, it will give you the opportunity to meet one or both of our Dentists Dr. Michele Nielsen or Dr. Doug Nielsen, as well as tour our office and meet our team.

Upon arrival to our office, you will be greeted by one of our friendly receptionists and asked to provide all insurance, family and health information.  Then, our Treatment Coordinator will review our office policies and make note of any health or dental concerns you may have. You will then be escorted to one of our Hygienists where your medical history will be reviewed and a soft tissue and head and neck oral cancer examination will be completed.  At this time all necessary X-rays and a periodontal (gum & bone) diagnosis will be completed.

Dr. Michele or Dr. Doug will then do a complete examination of your mouth, review your x-rays as well as a basic review of your concerns and goals for your dental needs.  Based on your examination and treatment needs the length of your second cleaning appointment can be determined and booked. It is at that appointment that Dr. Michele or Dr. Doug will do a complete review of any concerns and / or treatment required.

We will then prepare a written estimate or pre-authorization with your insurance company for any necessary treatment.

Children and Teens:

An appointment between 30 minutes and one hour will be booked for your child depending on their age and whether or not they have braces.

As above, you will be greeted by one of our friendly receptionists and asked to provide all insurance, family and health information for your child. Our Treatment Coordinator will then review our office policies with you and make note of any health or dental concerns you may have. At this time, one of our Hygienists or Certified Dental Assistants (CDA) will meet with your child and take any necessary X-rays, clean their teeth and review brushing and flossing techniques. Dr. Michele or Dr. Doug will then do a complete examination of your child's mouth, review their x-rays and advise you of any treatment needs.

All appointments always ends with a trip to our well stocked toy box and an entry into either our Happy Smile Club, Junior Achievers or Teens To The Top draw.
